Use this fun activity with ANY short story, novel, play or history unit. This print and teach handout allows students to choose a character (or historic figure) and fill in a police report. This offense/incident report requires students to collect details from their readings and report the facts. Your students will love the straight fact collection and reporting in a fun way. A part of any police report, also includes a crime/incident-scene artistic sketch. Students from all ages love this. You may also allow the students to fabricate witnesses and evidence not mentioned in the text. This purely depends on the literature.
